Justin Green, the semi-famous, semi-legendary underground cartoonist, made this drawing table and left it with journalist Bill Forman (pictured in background). Bill is leaving town and couldn't keep it, so Justin wanted me to have it. I decided not to, but did take Justin's books he got from the Famous Artist School course in cartooning. What a treasure!

Tim, who has played every musical you can name, has been complaining about this reduced orchestration of Beauty, which asks him to make impossible instrument changes. At the end of last night's performance, he said, "Another perfect show! How do we do it?"

Stan never goes anywhere without his laptop. Here we are at a between-show dinner. He is showing everyone his photo of Eric, who plays Key 1 on Beauty.

The last twist tie in existence

Or at least the last one in this dispenser.

This is the Russian doll that Rachel got on eBay (from Ukraine!) and gave to Natasha for her birthday. It sings a song in Russian, which Natasha translated for us. 

Rachel's roommate at (UC Irvine) Natasha drove over from Benicia to see the show today. Natasha dances and studies Russian. Both she and Rachel are part Russian, so they're like sisters! Tasha enjoys the way Rachel and I banter with each other: "Can I just sit behind you guys and listen?" "We get that a lot," I said.

During intermission we were standing by one of the concession stands and noticed what we first thought was a condom dispenser. We laughed and then commented on the appropriateness of the name of each show as a brand name for condoms ("Grease", etc.) 

My new home page is done.

Jill finished uploading my new website last night. She is a tuning customer. During the last tuning, we started talking and she said she needed a music clip for a website she was working on. I said I could make it for her and would do it in trade for her redoing my website. She agreed and ended up going way overboard (in a good way).

I mounted Beast and Belle on Stan's percussion setup.
