Every piano has a story...

...but most of them are not glued to the side. Click on the image to read this story of a piano in a dorm lounge at UC Davis.

I think it is very clear that this "piano" took that young man's energy, took his time, and finally took his life . . . it waits, waits in the semi-darkness of that dorm, its out of tune-ness revealing its desire to once again be discarded, passed cheaply to another victim, and then another and another . . . you can feel its desire for life and attention from here, the waves pulling and pulling at you, like the low vibrations created by the air that endlessly circulates over a harp made with steel strings entombed in a wooden box.
