I first met Martin Beal doing Gilbert & Sullivan back in 1988. He played Frederick in a great production of Pirates of Penzance. Later he got a masters in theater in San Jose and performed at their summer stock theater, winning a local award for playing Sancho Panza in Man of La Mancha. This is a poster for a show he's doing at the Crest Theater. Unfortunately, I have Best of Broadway that night, or I'd go.
